Fairfax, VA. (10/15/2020)- National Center for Police Defense, a nonprofit organization that helps and supports officers in the face of the legal system, has donated over $40,000 to officers facing uphill battles against a legal system marred with progressive attacks on officers fulfilling their duties to protect and serve.
National Center for Police Defense gave to 9 different police officers facing charges for on-duty incidents. “National Center for Police Defense, Inc. is the only organization that helps protect officers from the very system that they have sworn to protect and serve when the system turns against them,” their website reads.
The organization’s highest giving month of 2020 so far was in August, in which $14,000 was given to officers. While some of the cases are not publicly available yet, past cases that the National Center for Police Defense have taken on include Officer Andrew Delke from Nashville, TN, Newark Officer Jovanny Crespo, and Fort Worth Officer Aaron Dean.
“These officers are being raked over the coals for doing their jobs, and it appears that many of these charges are politically-motivated. The media, as well as progressive politicians and judges have it out for our police officers at the moment, and one of the ways this is manifesting is in our legal system. National Center for Police Defense provides the important resources these officers need to have a fair trial and keep their families afloat as they deal with the worst times of their lives,” said President James Fotis.
“National Center for Police Defense appreciates the generous donations that we are receiving to help these officers. Most of the police officers we are supporting have young families and bills to pay, but cannot work during the case. As the only organization that helps protect officers from the very system that they have sworn to protect and serve when the system turns against them, we are needed now more than ever,” concluded Mr. Fotis.
