Back the Badge 911: Standing with Officer Kayla Robinson and Her Family

When law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect our communities, they deserve our unwavering support—especially when tragedy strikes. The National Center for Police Defense (NCPD) created Back the Badge 911 to provide critical financial relief and encouragement to the families of officers who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Today, we are honored to announce that Officer Kayla Robinson of the Danville, Virginia Police Department has been named a recipient of a Back the Badge 911 donation.

Officer Kayla Robinson’s Courage under Fire

Earlier this year, Officer Robinson was the victim of a vicious, unprovoked attack in which she was shot while responding to a routine call. Despite her injury, Kayla exemplified true heroism—continuing to secure the scene and ensure public safety before seeking medical attention herself.

Her bravery has inspired colleagues and civilians alike, shining a light on the sacrifices our officers make every day. As she embarks on the long road to recovery, the emotional and financial toll on Officer Robinson and her family is immense. That’s where Back the Badge 911 steps in.
