[CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — September 14, 2026] Back the Badge 911, in partnership with Support Our Shields, will visit the Chesterfield County Police Department today to honor fallen K9 Knight and recognize his service and sacrifice.
K9 Knight was killed in the line of duty on May 31, 2026, after being shot while responding with officers to a domestic call.
As part of the presentation, Back the Badge 911 will present a memorial donation check to the Chesterfield County Police Department in honor of K9 Knight’s sacrifice. Support Our Shields Founder Henry “Hollywood” Morris will also present a custom memorial plaque to the department commemorating K9 Knight’s service and legacy.
The Chesterfield presentation is part of a series of memorial visits taking place this week across Virginia and Maryland to honor members of the law enforcement community who gave their lives in service.
“K9 Knight answered the call alongside the men and women of the Chesterfield County Police Department and made the ultimate sacrifice,” Morris said. “We are honored to stand with Back the Badge 911 and this department to make sure his service is remembered and his sacrifice is never forgotten.”
Back the Badge 911 is dedicated to supporting law enforcement officers, agencies, and families through outreach and direct assistance.
